Pine Bluff Commercial:  Saturday, Jan 8, 2000 - Cora Alice Crutchfield 
Benfield, 91, of Sheridan, died Jan 7, 2000, at Jefferson Regional Medical 
Center at Pine Bluff.  She was born March 23, 1908, in Grant County, a 
daughter of the late Alexander Crutchfield and Amanda Puckett Crutchfield.  
She was a member of Hope Pentecostal Church at Sheridan and was preceded in 
death by two sons, Charles Benfield and Hollis Dean Benfield.  Survivors 
include her husband, Clarence Webster Benfield; a son, Carl Benfield of 
Sheridan; three daughters, Melvis Smith, Joyce Smith and Winnie Jo Croy, all 
of Sheridan; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.  Funeral services 
will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hope Pentecostal Church at Sheridan with the Rev. 
Walt Hollis officiating.  Burial will be in Lost Creek Cemetery by Buie 
Funeral Home of Sheridan.
