She was born Dec.3, 1922, at Sheridan, a daughter of the late Eli Boothe and Ida Jane Newman Boothe. She was raised at Sheridan where she attended school. She worked for the Sheridan Tent and Awning Company and for the Flying W Ranch for 12 years. She attended the Assembly of God Church at Sheridan. She was preceded in death on Feb. 4, 1984, by her husband, Vonnie Crutchfield, whom she married on Aug. 12, 1939. Survivors include three sons,. Carthal Lee Crutchfield of Sheridan, Donald Ray Crutchfield of New Baden, Ill. and Robert Franklin Crutchfield of Upper Marlboro, Md.; a daughter, Vaughnita Clinton of Virginia Beach, Va.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville with the Rev. Billy McGarity officiating. Arrangements are by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
