Donald William Edwards

    Donald William Edwards, 75, of Poyen, Ark., passed away Aug. 26,
2001, in a Little Rock hospital.
    Born March 27, 1926, in Poyen to the late Oscar Edwards and the
late Elva Mae Williams Edwards, he was a retired truck driver and
attended the Poyen Assembly of God Church.
    Survivors include his wife of 57 years: Neoma Jean Roland Edwards
of Poyen; two sons: Gary Don Edwards and wife April of Malvern and
Terry Edwards and his wife Phyllis of Prattsville; one daughter:
Diana Kratz and husband Lewis of Malvern; two sisters: Bobie Byrd of
Malvern, and Francis Smedley of Little Rock; four brothers: Johnny
Edwards of Prattsville, Eugene Edwards of Poyen, O.J. Edwards of
Jessieville, Rev. Basil Edwards of Sheridan; nine grandchildren; and
a host of friends.
    Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. in the Assembly of God at
Poyen on Aug. 29 with Bro. David Walker and the Rev. Larry Stinson
officiating. Burial was in the Poyen Cemetery.
    Pallbearers were Gary Austin, Ray Robbins, Herbert Morrison,
Ronnie Newton, David Hull and Stephen Wheatley. Arrangements were by
Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern.
