James Howard Hood

    James Howard Hood, 20, of White Hall, Ark., died Sept. 27, 2001,
in Pine Bluff.
    He was born in Pine Bluff on Feb. 18, 1981. He was a son of James
Michael Hood of White Hall and Peggy Lou Cotton of Sheridan. He was
reared and received his early education in Sheridan and White Hall,
graduating from Sheridan High School. He loved to play the guitar and
worked part-time with his father. A Christian, he attended First
Christian Church in Pine Bluff and Junet Pentecostal Church in
Sheridan.
    Survivors include his parents; a sister: Georgia Michelle Hood of
Fayetteville; a half-brother: Stanley Crutchfield of Sheridan; half-
sisters: Kristie Ringer of Sheridan and Roseann Lockhart of Pine
Bluff; and his grandparents: Avis Hood of Pine Bluff and Howard and
Lou Cotton of Sheridan. He was preceded in death by his paternal
grandfather, Jim Hood.
    Services were held Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Ralph
Robinson & Son with the Rev. Mitch Shelburne and Bro. Al Michael
officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
    The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions
to the donor's favorite charity.
