BENTON--James Franklin Kilburn, 83, of Sheridan, died November 3, 1992, at
Saline Nursing Center here.  Born November 6, 1908, at Gravelly, he was son
of the late Jim and Rosie Pollard Kilburn.

He was a member of Oak Log Missionary Baptist Church of Dumas and a retired
timber cutter.

Survivors include his wife, Ellen Yandell Kilburn, five sons, Tommy Kilburn
of Caledonia, Mississippi, Earnest Kilburn of Dumas, Charles Kilburn and
Leon Kilburn, both of Sheridan and Roy Kilburn of San Marcos, Texas; four
daughters, Jean Wormington of North Hollywood, California, Dorothie Henry
of Kemp, Texas, Vada Hardgrove of Searcy, and LaVita Vincent of Sicily,
Italy; a sister, Allie Hunt of Ocello; 37 grandchildren; and 43 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Buie Funeral Home of
Sheridan with Ed Simpson officiating.  Burial will be in Lost Creek
Cemetery, Sheridan.  Pallbearers will be grandsons.
