Melvin Watson

    Melvin Watson, 72, of Grapevine, Ark., was born Sept. 5, 1929, in
Grapevine to the late Mack and Elvie Crowder Watson. He died at his
home Sept. 12, 2001.
    Mr. Watson was a member of Bethany #1 Missionary Baptist Church
and a retired logger for Billy Holloway Logging.
    Survivors are his wife: Mather Wallace Watson, daughter: Ann
Morris of Grapevine; son: Willis Watson of Grapevine; brothers: Joe
Watson and Albert Watson of Grapevine; a sister: Anna Lou Camp of
Prattsville; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held Sept. 14 at 2 p.m. at Bethany #1
Church in Grapevine with the Rev. Roger Taylor officiating. Burial
was in Davis Cemetery in Grapevine.
    Pallbearers were Jeff Hedden, Mark Garner, Dan Rice, Butch Kelly,
Carl Morris and Ronnie Morris.
    Buie Funeral Home in Sheridan was in charge of services.
