Crawford County Siftings, Crawford county, Arkansas dated January 7, 1904

John B. Gibson charged with stealing $15.00 and a pistol at Hope was shot
and killed at Fulton, December 3, 1903 by the negro who made the charge
against him, and who had been deputized to serve the warrant. Gibson
refused to surrender and the negro shot and killed him.
