Thomas of Hempsted County and State of Arkansas, now in Lowndes County of Miss. Believing it once appointed for all men to Die now being in Bad health, But in my proper mind and memory, Wish to make this my Last Will and Testament in the following manner to wit, 1st I Commend my Soul to god who gave [it] and Body to the grave 2nd I Want paid to Martha H. Loftis out of my Estate the Sum of Two Thousand one Hundred and fifty four Dollars 79 Cents, or there about more or Less which Certain amount may Be Asurtained by Exammining the Records of Hempsted County Arkansas, which money I Collected for her, which fell to her from her Deceased Husbands Richard Loftis Estate 3rd After pay all my Last Debts I give and Bequeath to my Kind and affectionate mother Fereby Thomas all the Ballance of my Estate and property of every Kind, subject to her Disposal at her Death and Do hereby appoint Robert P.
