Leslie Lee Cotten Sr. Rev. Leslie Lee Cotten Sr., 85, of Malvern died Friday, April 25, 1997. He was a devoted minister of the gospel for 65 years and a member of the Living Word of Faith fellowship. He was born March 8, 1912, in Dalark to Jacob and Lillian Jones Cotten. He was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Cotten on April 26, 1996; three brothers, Bill, Joe Bob and Reuben Cotten; and one sister, Alene Hensley. Survivors include three sons, Leslie Lee Jr of Poyen, Wayne Keith and Nolen Dale Cotten, both of Malvern; two daughters, Mary Emma Jean Nix of Grapevine and Nina Christine Lankford of Hot Springs; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were today, April 28, 10 a.m., at First Assembly of God Church with Rev. Don Nordin and Rev. Haskell Grant officiating. Burial followed in Big Creek Cemetery under the direction of Atkinson Funeral Home. Pallbearers were George Bartow, Leslie Sullivant, Norman Cotten, Keith Cotten Jr, Travis Lankford, Keith Brown, Shane Key and Frank Bradford. Visitation was Sunday, April 27, 3-5 p.m., at the funeral home. (Malvern Dailey Record, Apr. 28, 1997).
