Edna Nancy Byrd Gibson Hughes
Edna Nancy Byrd Gibson Hughes, age 84, of Malvern went to be with the
heavenly father on March 4, 2001 in a Camden hospital.
She was born on April 7, 1916 in Brown Springs to the late Graver and 
Ida Willmon Byrd. She was retired from the Benton Services Center and
of the Baptist faith.
She was pre-deceased by her parents, husbands Marvin Gibson and George
Lee Hughes and two sons Jerry Gibson and G. W. (Dub) Gibson. She is
survived by sons: Pat Gibson and wife Marlene of Malvern, Mike Gibson 
and wife Shirley of Malvern, Kenny Gibson of Malvern; one brother, Fred 
Byrd of Malvern; two sisters, Dora Rhodes of Camden and Sara Ausema of 
Camden; grandchildren: Vickie Asher, Dennis Gibson, Shena Lisenby all of 
Malvern; Erin Gibson of San Francisco, Emily Gibson, Billy Jack Gibson,
Callie Jo Gibson all of Malvern; great-grandchildren: Clint Asher, Codi
Asher, Andrew Lisenby, Steven Lisenby, Carlee Gibson, Laney Gibson, all
of Malvern; great-great-grandson: Cade Asher of Malvern.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M., Wednesday March 7, 2001 in the
Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Pete Elliot and Rev. Tim Ray
officiating. Burial to follow in Jones Cemetery at Brown Springs, Ar.,
under direction of Atkinson Funeral Home.
Pallbearers: Donald Rhodes, Chris Rhodes, Gary Edwards, Ronnie Edwards,
Fred Byrd, Jr., Dennis Byrd. Honorary Pallbearers: James Erwin, John 
Ray, Jr.
Visitation will be Tuesday March 6 from 6 PM til 9 PM at the funeral
home.
