MARGARET (DOOTSIE) LINDVALL HIGGINS

Margaret (Dootsie) Lindvall Higgins, 74 of Pearland, Texas, formerly of
Malvern died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1997, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.
 She was born June 8, 1923, at Malvern to the late John and Una Hales
Lindvall.  She was a career housewife and devoted mother.  She was a member
of the First Baptist Church of Malvern.

Survivors include her husbnd, Albert Higgins of Pearland, Texas;  three sons
and their wives, Patrick and Majorie Higgins and Michael and Maria Higgins,
all of Houston and Casey and Kristina Higgins of Austin;  one sister, Mary
Ellen Dildy of Conway;  one sister-in-law, Anna Boyd  Lindvall of Malvern;
 and five grandsons.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, Aug. 30, 2 p.m., at Oak Ridge
Cememtery with Rev. Vern Wickliffe officiation.  Burial will be under the
direction  of Atkinson Funeral Home.  Pallbearers will be Richard Fitzhugh,
Richard Doss, Dr. Tom Beasley, Matt Beasley, Bill Lindvall, Glenville Rhodes,
George Weaver and James Cooper.  The family request that in lieu of flowers,
donations may be made in Dootsie's memory to the American Cancer Society,
P.O. Box 570127, Houston, Texas, 77257-0127.  The family will gather at the
home of Anna Boyd Lindvall at 1427 Mississippi St. Malvern, Arkansas.
