FELIX R. MATLOCK SR.

     Felix R. Matlock Sr. of Detroit, formerly of Malvern, died June
6, 1996, in Detroit where he lived for more than 50 years.  He served
as secretary to the late Congressman Diggs.
     Survivors include one son, Felix Matlock Jr. of Aurora, Ill.;
two sisters, Annie Jones of Little Rock and Odie Williams of Malvern; 
and three grandchildren.
     Funeral services will be held Thrusday, June 13, 1996, at 11 a.m.
at the Metropolitan Baptist Church in Detroit.  Thompson Funeral Home
is in charge of arrangements.
