CARSTELLE NEWTON

Carstelle Newton, 86, of Malvern died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 1997, in the
Malvern Nursing Home.  She was born April 6, 1911, in Tamo.  She lived in
Little Rock a number of years before moving to Malvern where she was a member
of St. Paul's Church of God in Christ.

There is no immediate family but friends, Thomas and Ida Mae Smith of Perla.

Graveside services will be Friday, Aug. 29, 11 a.m., at the Masonic Cemetery
with Elder Billy McCoy, pastor of St. Paul Church of God in Christ
officiating.  Brandon's Mortuary in charge of  all arrangements.
