Other people were buried near where they died, sometimes because of weather not permitting travel to a cemetery. Allen, Albert Harvey b. 1868 Sep 19 d. 1936 Aug 11 father of Eli & Welcome Allen hus of (1st) Lucy (Campbell) (2nd) Dollie Butler son of David W. & Jane Allen grave on Max Moore's land off of McGough Road death record found in Little Rock, believe this to be correct Allen, children 2 graves next to Albert Harvey Allen Barber, infant Premature first child of Elvin and Ethel Barber Brancecum, William b. 1831 Jul 23 d. 1917 Dec 23 Hus of (1) Drucilla Matilda (Hill) (2) Lieurena (Rena) Hubbard buried on his old homesite Beel, infant b. d. about 1940 son of Frank & Clara Beel buried on old Beel place, now Foster's on Camp Tahkodah Road Beel, infant b. d. about 1935 infant of George & Fern Beel buried on the old homeplace now part of David Collins beyond Creek Road Child, d. early 1900's young child, or even two, who took sick while their family was traveling through the area by wagon buried near Noel McGee's on Camp Tahkodah Road said to be Parker children Coverstone, Andrew J. b. 1828 Dec 15 d. 1904 Nov 20 hus of Mary (Countryman) buried near his old homeplace off Jamestown Loop Road He was Craig Finney's grandfather. On his stone: "There was an angel band in heaven that was not quite complete, so God took our dear father to fill the vacant seat." Crum, Julia (Lyles) Harmon b. abt 1858 first wife of Hirum J. Crum buried on old Billy Martin place, now refered to as the Circle R there are said to be other graves there also married H. Crum Aug. 18, 1878 Curtis, infant b. abt 1931/32 baby of Paul and Bessie Curtis buried at old Hail place near Buckeye Lane Evans, David Preston b. 1893 Aug 23 d. 1920 Nov 15 hus of Docia Hail son of Daniel & Margaret (Orr) Evans buried in single grave behind Buckeye Lane Lambert, Samuel David b. 1870 Feb 17 d. 1932 Sep 12 hus of Clara E. Lambert son of Joseph & Elizabeth (Chaney) Lambert buried in single grave beside Round Mtn. Rd. Negro, three graves in field on Fred Strother's land beside McGough Road Scroggins, Mary Ellen (Prophet) wife of Burgess Scroggins said to be full Indian age 38 buried near Salado creek Soldier, Civil War (believed to be Union) d. 1861 - 1865 sick and tired, he wandered into the Thomas home place and sought help the Thomas women took him in and cared for him till he died he is buried near Elumbaugh Road He is said to have confessed to killing another man for his horse.
