It is located on Boswell Street in downtown Batesville, behind the library and down the street and on the opposite side of the Batesville Post Office. This survey was taken August 25, 2001 by Cindy Treadway. PIONEER CEMETERY At the front of the cemetery is a four sided monument. Inscribed on its base is this: In loving memeory of our Independence County sons who paid the supreme price with their lives in World War I, World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
