McCormack Dies Here Last Night Mrs. Myrtle Handford McCormack, aged 72, of Batesville, died in a local hospital at 11:45 last night after a lingering illness. She was the wife of the late J. E. McCormack, who was a wellknown abstract man here. Mrs. McCormack moved to Batesville with her parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Handford, when a child. She was prominent in church and civic affairs of the city and was a member of the First Methodist church. Surviving are three brothers, Stanley and W. H. Handford, both of Batesville and Jack Handford of Piedmont, Mo. Funeral services will be conducted at the family residence at 658 East Boswell St., at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow by the Rev. H. Lynn Wade, pastor of the First Methodist church. Interment will be in Oaklawn cemetery. Crouch funeral home is directing arrangements.
