(* before an entry suggests that this entry made have errors and will need to be rechecked against the originals.) ************************************************************************ "HOWARD CEMETERY by Mildred Minor Gregory and Azy Burlison" "Also known as the Scott Cemetery, this cemetery is located in the central western part of the NE 1/4 of Section 21, Twp. 12 N., Range 3 West, south of the railroad. It is east of Reamy and west of the Robinson Cemetery. Richard and Harriet Scott were Negroes, as were most of the persons memorialized by the remaining stones in the cemetery. The Howard family, which gave the cemetery its name, was white, as was the Gallagher family, whose children were buried there in 1854 and 1856.
