Here I counted only 5 markers, four of which were of the shaft type. Three of these are lying on their shafts. An inscription referring to Fannie Foushee is found on a stone with Joseph P. Foushee, as well as on a separate marker. The only shaft style marker upright is the stone marking the burial spot of mrs. sconyers. The Wilkerson monument is rectangular and quite narrow. [Subsequently] inventoried 28 Feb 1968 by James Logan Morgan and Walter Edwards. We found all stones in the original inventory, but did not locate the Wilkerson stone." [In May 2002, Wilkerson researcher Kathy Estep visited the cemetery with the assistance of the current landowner and was able to locate the Wilkerson stone. -- Mark Williamson] [on same stone] FOUSHEE, Fannie (5 Oct 1824 - 17 Dec 1895) wife of J. P. FOUSHEE, Joseph P. (17 Aug 1826 - 29 Jul 1896) HARWELL, W. A. (10 Aug 1850 - 14 Oct 1900) SCONYERS, Mollie P. (20 Mar 1856 - 28 Sep 1903) wife of T. J. WILKERSON, Elijah (d. 10 Feb 1841) aged about 84 years [The date on the tombstone, verified by Kathy Estep, is a mistake on the part of the engraver. Elijah WILKERSON was listed on the 1850 census, and Kathy reports that Elijah's actual date of death was 10 Feb 1851.]
