July 1990 Jones Lesley Thomas "Tom" Jones, 58, of Campbell Station, died Wednesday at Harris Hospital in Newport. A farmer and an independent truck driver, he had lived in California from 1962 to 1975, where he worked for the PCI Construction Co. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Bonnie Jones of the home; three sons, Tom Jones of Portland, Ore., Lesley Jones of Ojai, Calif., and Arvil Jones of Newport; three daughters Hellen Rowland of Diaz, Carol Huckabee of Tuckerman and Alma Luper of Jonesboro; two sisters, Roseann Wiggins of Hot Springs and Samatha Baze of Alvarado, Texas; 17 Grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will conducted this afternoon at 4:30 in the chapel of Jackson's Newport Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Baze officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery in Newport. Pallbearers will be Jim Kellem, Tommy Tyner, Jaime Goyne, Dennis Avance, Millus Green and Charlie Kriss. Visitation will be this morning from 8 o'clock until the time of the funeral service at the funeral home.
