All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Callie Diana Safirt Thursday, March 15, 1956 The Tuckerman Record Callie Diana Safirt November 11, 1885-March 7, 1956 Mrs. Callie Safirt died at the home of her son, Othaniel Safirt of Grubbs Arkansas, on March 7, at the age of 70 years. She was born in Missouri on November 11, 1885 to Isaac Winford and Margaret Brumley- Winford. She was a member of the Pentecost Church. One son; Othaniel Safirt of Grubbs Arkansas and five grandchildren; two nephews and one niece survive her. Funeral services were held at the Ballews Chapel Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Friday the 9th with the Rev. Calrene H. Burton of Grubbs Arkansas officiating, assisted by the Rev. Henry Doyle of Newport Arkansas. Burial was in Ballews Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clark Shelton, Virgil Odglen, W. N. McCoy, Ollie Brown, Elton Vines and Raymond Clark.
