REEVES D C Reeves, 68, resident of Jefferson County for the past 20 years, passed away at 11 o'clock Thursday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs F M Harper, 2520 West Pullen Street, following an illness lasting for some time. Mr Reeves was born in Sinkler County, Mo in 1871 and lived there until 1884 when he came to Arkansas with his parents and has since been a resident of this state. He had been a member of the Baptist church for a number of years. Mr Reeves is survived by two daughters, Mrs F M Harper and Mrs W L Funderburg of Pine Bluff; three sons, Bert Reeves of Pine Bluff, Thomas Reeves of Monticello and Dennis Reeves of North Carolina and a number of other relatives of this city. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the chapel of the Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary in charge of Rev J Ben Wofford, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church. Burial will be on the family lot in Lee Cemetery at Double Wells, in charge of Ralph Robinson and Son Mortuary. Active pallbearers will be: finis Smith, Jack Robinson, H A Stuckey, Jess Green, D L Ridgeway and James Calvert. Honorary pallbearers will be: Ott Lamar, W E Bobo, Ervin Hulse, Tom Barnes, Dr J S Spillyards, Dr T J Cunningham and Wayne Simpson.
