Snow, once a U.S. Senator from Arkansas died at his home in Hackensack, N.J., yesterday, 78 years old His wife died a month ago, and he never recovered from the shock. He was born in Mass. To Josiah Snow, founder of the Detroit Tribune, one which paper Col. Snow was associate editor for several years. He settled in Pine Bluff, Ark., in 1860. He came to New York to study law and was admitted to the bar in 1875. Col. Snow was instrumental in raising three regiments in Arkansas for the Civil War, and he served as an aid to Gen. Powell Clayton and Major Gen. Steele. His children Capt. W. J. Snow, U.S.A.; Mrs. Lousie S. Jersey, a widow; and Mrs. Francis J. Koester, wife of Capt. Koester, U.S.A.
