CLARKSVILLE — Varnel Dale NELSON, 69, of Clarksville died Thursday, Nov. 26,
2009, at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock .


Born March 21, 1940, at Harmony, he was the son of the late Arles and Helen
Harshbarger, a graduate of Clarksville High School , 
owner and operator of
NELSON Garage for 40 years, and a member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church .

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Sue NELSON.


Survivors include his wife, Glenda Phillips NELSON; two sons and their spouses,

Dale Alan and Annie NELSON and Dennis Lee NELSON and Carrie Mitchusson, all of
Clarksville; two brothers, 
Kenneth NELSON of Clarksville and J.D. NELSON of
Springdale; 
a sister, Rita Griffin of Hartman; 
and grandchildren, Savanna
NELSON, Emily NELSON, Waylon NELSON, Krista NELSON, Lexy Mitchusson, Brice
Mitchusson 
and Devin Mitchusson.


Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at Landmark Missionary Baptist
Church .
Burial will be in Fort Douglas Cemetery under the direction of
Hardwicke Funeral Home.


Visitation will be from 2-4:30 p.m. Sunday at Hardwicke Chapel.
