All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Pine Bluff Commercial 3-15-2004 MEMPHIS -- Theos Callaway, 71, of Memphis, died Tuesday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff. He was born June 9, 1932 at Tarry, Ark., a son of the late E.D. Callaway and Lela Holland Callaway. He was a retired millwright for General Motors Corp. He was a member of the Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ at Saginaw, Mich. Survivors include his wife, Alberta S. Wright Callaway; four sons, Theodis Callaway Jr., and Craig Callaway, both of Flint, Mich., Elbert Scott of Saginaw and Kenneth Scott of Dallas; six daughters, Cheryl Grayson of Memphis, Valarie Majied, Valarie Chaney and Vickie Callaway, all of Flint, Thelma Boyd of Chicago and Doris Ervin of Saginaw; two brothers, Nathaniel Callaway of Flint and Willie Callaway Sr. of Tarry; five sisters, Reola Sneed, Luvella Hunt and Sadie Owens, all of Tarry, Naomi Rochelle of Star City, Ark., and Murlee Scott of Kansas City, Mo.; 26 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bright Star Baptist Church at Tarry with the Rev. G. L. Ford officiating. Burial will be in Bright Star Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Luvella Hunt, Rt. 1 Box 198, Star City.
