Belle Dial

STAR CITY -- Belle Wells Dial, 93, of Star City, died Thursday at
Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.

She was born Dec. 12, 1909, in Mansfield, Mo., a daughter of the late
James Pearl Wells and Etta Mae Mallory Wells.

She was a homemaker and a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Dial; and a son, P J.
"Jack" Dial.

Survivors include two sons, Alvin Dial of Bradford, Tenn., and J.W. Dial
of Texas; one daughter, Jean Moran of Star City; two sisters, Ruby Glover
of Star City and Ruth Wimberly of Pine Bluff; 11 grandchildren; and 27
great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Griffin Funeral Service of
Star City with Allen Hagood officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove
Cemetery near Star City.
