All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** Regina Griffin March 22, 1949 August 31, 2006 Regina Ann Griffin, 57, of Pine Bluff, died Aug. 31 at Aurora Bay Medical Center at Green Bay, Wis. She was born March 22, 1949, at Pine Bluff, a daughter of the late Ike Griffin and Dorothy Robertson. She graduated from Merrill High School in 1967 and received a bachelor of science degree from AM&N College (now the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff) in 1971. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and served as director of Christian education, youth director and director of the Baptist Training Union. She organized the first Regional Arkansas Missionary Baptist Young People's Retreat. She also served as vice president at large of the Regular Arkansas Missionary Baptist Women Auxiliary. She chaired the largest gathering for the Regular Arkansas Missionary Baptist Convention. She was also the Southeast Central Regional Director for the Regular Convention, serving as a leadership trainer for many districts in Pine Bluff, and president of the Central District Women Auxiliary. She was a member of Sigma Gamma Nu Sorority and served as treasurer of the Pine Bluff Community Women's Choir. She was an educator in the McGehee School District for 14 years and the Pine Bluff School District for three years. She also worked at Baim's Department Store for 25 years, ending her career at the Department of Health and Human Services as a quality assurance reviewer for 13 years. Survivors include one daughter, Nicole Massey of Green Bay, Wis.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Boyd officiating. Burial will be in P.K. Miller Cemetery by Brown Funeral Home of Pine Bluff. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be at 4321 S. Olive St., Apt. 68, Pine Bluff, the home of Chanlander Webster.
