GEORGE C. HILL

George C. Hill, 73, of Star City, died Sunday, November 2, 2003 in Star
City.  He was born December 3, 1929 in Tupelo, Mississippi to the late
Fount and Willie Gordon Hill.  He served in the Army during World War II
and was stationed in Europe.  He retired from the Dept. of Corrections
Tucker Max Unit.
Survivors include his wife Velma Hudson Hill of Star City, seven sons,
George Ralph Hill of El Paso, Tx, Brian Hill of Star City, Michael Hill
of Alabama, Shannon Hill of Las Vegas, NV., George Anthony Hill of Pine
Bluff, Jeff Hill of Rockford, Illinois, and Terrance Wainwright of
Illinois; three daughters, Crystal Hill of Pine Bluff, Jacqueline Hill of
Star City and Monique Hill of Rockford, Illinois; two brothers, Lonnie
Hill of Rockford, Illinois, and Cleve Hill of Los Angeles, Ca; two
godsons, Reuben James and Montez James; two goddaughters, Ashlan James
and Georgia Cotton; fifteen grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 8th at Polk
Chapel near Star City.  Pastors Jerry Haynes, Jeff Hudson, and Reese Hill
officiated the ceremonies.  Burial was in Sneed Cemetery near Star City. 
All arragements were by Griffin Funeral Service in Star City.
