GOULD -- Joey Smith, 24, of Gould, died Friday at Arkansas Children's Hospital
at Little Rock.
He was born Nov. 13, 1979, at Little Rock, a son of Willie Smith of Oakland,
Calif., and Sherry Akins of Gould.
He was educated in the Gould school system.
He worked in the field of carpentry.
Other survivors include two sons, Jacorby Smith of Pine Bluff and Jatavion Smith
of McGehee; one daughter, Alandria Smith of Monticello; three brothers, Johnny
Brown, Tony Smith and Willie Smith Jr., all of Gould; one sister, Keshia Smith
of Gould; his grandmother, Mary Smith of Gould; and one aunt who raised him,
Phenia Smith of Gould.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Gould High School gym with the
Rev. Earnest Nash Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery by Serenity
Gardens Funeral Services of Dumas.
