                        LOGAN FAMILY CEMETERY

LOCATED ON OLD LOGAN PLANTATION IN SUGAR GROVE COMMUNITY, LOGAN COUNTY,
ARKANSAS.  FIELD STONES THAT FORMERLY MARKED THE GRAVES OF SLAVES HAVE
BEEN REMOVED.  SOME OF THE SLAVES WERE REPORTEDLY INDIANS.  LOGAN COUNTY,
ARKANSAS WAS NAMED IN HONOR OF COL. JAMES B. LOGAN WHO IS INTERRED IN
THIS CEMETERY.  SURVEYED OCTOBER 7, 1998 BY MILDRED COLLINS WASSER.
