He was a retired farmer, a World War II veteran and a Baptist. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sept. 22 in Roberts Memorial Chapel with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Booneville. He is survived by his wife, Freda; two sons, Wayne and William, both of Booneville; five daughters, Nancy Frost, Bonnie Swafford and Velma Hester, all of Booneville, Helen Lee of Havana and Betty Garner of Paris, two brothers, Vester of Paris and Eston of Magazine; two sisters, Wanda Young of Farmington and Julia Bailey of Magazine; 20 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
