M. Taylor Dead Logan County lost another good citizen and neighbor last Tuesday when the spirit of Pleasant M. Taylor, yielded to the ravages of pneumonia, and left its earthly housing to take a permanent abode in the land of the blessed. Mr. Taylor was eighty-four years old, and had lived in the neighborhood of Booneville for many years; lately making his home partly with his son, George Taylor of Booneville, Mrs Hub Mechler, a daughter, and another son who resided in the country. It was in the country that he was stricken and here he died. Mr. Taylor was a prominent farmer until his health and advancing years forced his retirement, and he had at all times proven himself a worthy citizen and good neighbor and a true friend, content to play a minor part in the eternal fitness of things, feeling that a good citizen was the greatest of all God's creatures, and he at all times lived up to his duties in this respect As a monument to prosterity he has left a splendid family, all upright, honest citizens, trained in the school of righteousness that he lived and believed in, and an honor to the grand old man that gave them to the world. The remains were laid to rest in the little country graveyard amid sorrowing relatives and friends, Thursday afternoon. We join them in extending to those so sorely bereaved the heartfelt sympathy of a true friend.
