He was a retired MSgt. in the U.S. Air Force and a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was on the board that helped develop the Mt. Springs Volunteer Fire Department and served as its captain. He received a commendation from Senator David Pryor in 1987 for the development of a heating system used at the Little Rock Air Force Base. He is survived by his wife, Oney Randof of Cabot; two sons, Robert Randof of Skipper, Va., and Davis Randof of Cabot; two daughters, Joyce Beaver of Jacksonville and Carla Armstrong of Copperas Cove, Texas; two brothers, David and Peter Rentof, both of New York City, N.Y.; nine grandchildren and a host of friends. She was a retired teacher, member of the Episcopal Church and received her Master's Degree at the University of Houston in 1950. She is survived by two nieces, Betty L. Steed of Hot Springs and Alice May Johnson of DeWitt, and one nephew, Max Quertermous of Houma, La.
