Tuck - He died at 5:30 o’clock this evening, June 21st, 1883, at the residence of Mrs. D. E. Burnett, at No. 65 Jones Ave. He was a native of Arkansas, was born and reared at Lonoke in that state. He arrived in Atlanta, Dec. 22, 1881, and soon established himself among his many friends as an honest, upright, generous companion. On the 29th of May 1882, he married Miss Emma Burnett of Atlanta, and since that time has resided at the residence of his wife’s mother. On the 23rd day of January last while in the employ of the East Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia railroad company, engaged in the yard of company, he was run over by the switch engine, and lost his left foot. Since that time he has been confined continually to his bed and room. On Monday, the 18th, Robie Lee, a little daughter, was sent to brighten the household of the newly married couple. The many friends of Tobe, followed him to his final resting place in Oakland Cemetery, Friday evening. June 23, 1883 - Atlanta Constitution, Georgia Rest of the story: Married on 5/29/1882 to Toby B. Tuck of Arkansas. ON 1/23/1883 he lost his foot in a railroad accident. He then died on 6/22/1883. She died just five days later. Then their child, Robbie Lee died 7/1/1883.
