Garland Glenn Shannon (August 29, 1953 - November 5, 2009) Garland Glenn Shannon, 56, of Forum, Arkansas , died November 5, 2009 at his home. He was born August 29, 1953 at San Antonio , Texas , the son of H. G. and Elsie Irene Lewis Shannon. He had retired from Emerson Electic in Rogers after thirty years of service and was then employed at Technical Machining Services in Rogers and then at the Northwest Technical Institute in Springdale . He attended the Clifty Chapel Free Will Baptist Church and was preceded in death by one brother, Jeff Shannon. Survivors include: his wife of thirty-six years, Nella Ann Perry Shannon of the home whom he married on September 7, 1973; one daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Thad Cannon of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Wayne and Betty Shannon of Gilbert, South Carolina, Marlan Shannon and Mark and Barbara Shannon, all of Rogers, Arkansas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Louise and Ron Snow of Oak Grove, Arkansas and Donna and Tim Carter of Gentry, Arkansas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Saturday, November 7, at the Clifty Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with The Reverend Dwayne Lane officiating. Interment will be in the Rambo Cemetery under the direction of Brrashears Funeral Home www.brashearsfuneralhome.net of Huntsville , Arkansas . Pallbearers will be: Don Woolard, Hap Perry, Paul Foster, Myron Dudelston, John Metcalf and David Cousins. Honorary pallbearers will be: Leon Davidson, Ron Snow, Tim Carter and Carl Yates. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P. M. to 7:00 P. M. on Friday at the funeral home
