She was born Dec. 26, 1913, in Kingston to Carl H. and Mintie Belle Smith Frederick. She was a homemaker, a member of the Huntsville Free Will Baptist Church, and was active in the Madison County Senior Activity Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Floyd Spurlock, on July 5, 1980, and one granddaughter, Kim Burris. Survivors include two sons, Jim Spurlock and wife Shirley of Aurora, Jerry Spurlock and wife Pat of Green Forest; one daughter, Joetta Copeland and husband Homer of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral service s will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Brashears Funeral Home, with the Rev. Larry Montgomery, the Rev. Alvin Reynolds and the Rev. Walter Vanderlip officiating. Burial will be in the Lower Campground Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Shawn Fanning, Jamie Fanning, Mike Fanning, Brad Spurlock, Brian Spurlock, Brent Spurlock, Larry Yarbrough and Danny Darling. Honorary pallbearers will be: Spencer Fanning, Dustin Carter, Steven Fanning, Chris Fanning, Larry Darling, Don Wall, Harold Wall and Danny Wall.
