In possession of Horace Hamilton Family, Rt. 6, Emmet, Arkansas.

Hosea H. Holcombe b. July 20, 1780, d. July 31, 1841, on Saturday, A. M.,
five minutes before two o'clock at Jefferson Co. Alabama.
He was taken sick on Tuesday, July 20, 120 miles from home,
age sixty one years and eleven days.
Married June 7, 1801, Union District, South Carolina.

Cassandra (Casey) Jackson b. March 31, 1780, d. February 10, 1848.
Was taken sick on Wednesday, February 2, and died on Thursday, Feb. 10,
thirty minutes after three o'clock in the evening, Lafayette Co.
Mississippi, at the age of sixty seven years, ten months, and eleven days.

Hosea H. Holcombe was baptized on September 5, 1800.
Hosea H. Holcombe was licensed to preach on April 16, 1803 as a Baptist
minister.
He was ordained on august 17, 1805, Union District, South Carolina.

Tartan P. Holcombe b. March 6, 1805.
Thomas M. Holcombe b. April 21, 1806.

William Holcombe b. May 11, 1812 in Mechlenburg S. C.
Harmon C. Holcombe b. June 15, 1814.
Martha R. Holcombe b. February 4, 1816.
A son born and died November 7, 1817.
John B. Holcombe b. April 15, 1820.
A daughter born September 3, 1822.
Frances H. S. M. Holcombe b. March 22, 1824.

Thomas M. Holcombe died December 15, 1848 at fourty two years, seven
months, twenty eight days.
Harriet N. Holcombe died September 13, 1842 at ten A. M.

Also recorded in this Bible is the birth of the first child of Thomas
Jefferson Purtle and wife Francis Cassandra Holcombe, John T. Purtle, b.
December 13, 1871, in Nevada Co. Arkansas.

Children of Thomas M. Holcombe and Rebbeca Jones:
Nany E. Holcombe b. August 8, 1828.
Harriet N. Holcombe b. September 26, 1831, died September 13, 1842.
One daughter born and died September 22, 1833.
Martha Ann Hassaltine b. April 28, 1835.
William Henry Holcombe b. August 13, 1837.
Mary Ann Francis Holcombe b. Nov. 24, 1839.

Nancy E. Holcombe and Jesse McCouller married February 1845.
Thomas M. Holcombe married Nancy L. Moreland and there was only one
child born to this union,
Francis Cassandra Holcombe born August 29, 1848.

Francis married Thomas Jefferson Purtle.
