SPRING BANK Spring Bank (formerly Factory Bluff) was once the site of the Indian village along the river, also a trading post. It is located on Red River between the Louisiana State Line and the Sulphur River fork. It is now in Miller County (then part of Lafayette county) Ark. Spring Bank Ferry was operated by one family for 130 years when the State of Arkansas took it over in 1967. Sulphur has been made into Wright Patman Lake - Texas into Arkansas. A bridge has been built at the site now, and the ferry discontinued.
