Sam & Ada Lee Land Record, Miller Co, AR *********************************************************** Submitted by: Pat Foster King Date: 1998 Copyright. All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.shtml *********************************************************** Miller County Land Deed This was a deed to Lee's Pasture to my grandparents, Sam & Ada Lee from his parents, Carolina & Amzi Lee. Lee's Pasture was on Jefferson St. in Texarkana, AR. My grandfather built their house. Years later, when my grandmother was a widow, the school board bought her property & built a high school there. The land had been in the Lee Family for years and she didn't want to sell. My grandmother held a lantern so my grandfather, who was a carpenter could build the house at night. I suppose after he finished working in the daytime. When the school board bought the property, the house was moved to 1402 Linden. Dr. Gus Lee was a brother to my grandfather, Sam Lee. *************** State of Arkansas - County of Lafayette Be it remembered, that on this day came before me, the undersigned, A clerk of the Circuit Court, within and for the County aforesaid, duly commissioned and Acting, A.
