He was hanged for the murder of a woman on the 16th of Sept 1877, with who he had been living as her husband.....[details]....the body taken in charge of by his father, to be taken to Fulton Ark., for interment. The executed man is the last of three brothers - one being hanged two years ago in an adjoining county for murder, and the other one was drowned two weeks ago in Little river. Additional Comments: The newspaper article contains mention of Sheriff and 3,000 people present and details of the hanging, but no other genealogical information.
