S. A. Wednesday , March 3, 1948. MRS. JOE E. DAVIS Mrs. Joe E. Davis, 55, of Fouke, died at 11:30 a. m. Tuesday at a local hospital as the result of a lengthy illness. Mrs. Davis was a life-long resident of Miller county and a member of the Corinth Church of Christ. Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband and seven daughters, Mrs. Vivon Crista and Mrs. Eliza May Carter of Camden, Ark., Mrs. Bertha Riley of Spring Hill, La., Mrs. Addie Adcock, Mrs. Leia Jester and Mrs. Betty Jo Keahey of Texarkana, and Miss Aleene Davis of Fouke; two sons , Elmer and Gene Davis of Texarkana; her father, S. J. Morton of Texarkana; and several brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. NOTE: Maiden name Ocie MORTON ************************************************************************
