Dickey will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, May 1, 1998 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel. Officiating will be Darwin Hunter, Minister of Sunset Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Forest Park West. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. J.B. Dickey, 66 passed away on April 28, 1998 after a brief illness. He was born in Fouke, AR on October 30, 1931. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was preceded in death by his loving father, T.N. Dickey, Sr.: mother, Mary Delaney Dickey; two brothers, Raymond M. Dickey, Sr. and Forrest L. Dickey. He is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve H. Dickey of Shreveport, LA; children, Bobby D. Dickey and wife Charlotte, Richard J. Muse and wife Linda of Shreveport, Betty D. McWhiney and husband Mark of Haughton, LA; four grandchildren, Summer, Travis, Brad and Lisa and one great-grandchild, Brianna; two brothers, Thomas N. Dickey, Jr. of Shreveport and Billy L. Dickey of O'Brien, FL; two sisters, Virginia D. Gilliland of Okachobee, FL and Linda D. Crnkovic of Shreveport, LA and many loving nieces and nephews. J.B. walked with the Lord and shared his love of the gospel with all those he met. He was a member of Sunset Church of Christ. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of Willis- Knighton Hospital North for the kindness and encouragement. Pallbearers will be members of the sunset Church of Christ.
