Jacob Earl Eaton, 72, 2100 West Fifteenth Street, died at 11 a.m. Monday at
a local health home.  Mr. Eaton, a resident of Texarkana for 45 years, was
born in Lonoke, Ark.  He was employed as a drapery handler and carpet
worker.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Robert Piland and grandson, Robert Earl
Piland, both of San Antonio; a sister, Mrs. John Halbert of Texarkana, a
nephew, Jack Halbert of Texarkana, and an aunt, Mrs. Rose Edwards of
Arkadelphia, Ark.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the East Funeral Home
chapel, with the Rev. Fred Harrison officiating, Burial will be in Woodlawn
cemetery.  Pall bears will be Frank Mathis, D.P. Rodgers, Jack Halbert,
James Wallace, A.A. Staley and Jack Miller. Honorary pall bears will be
other friends of the family.
