Jack E. Halbert, 66, of 222 Hickory St. Texarkana died Wednesday at a local
hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at East Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Carl
Teel officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

He was employed by Bruce Kennedy Sand  & Gravel Co., and was the former
owner of Dot's Roller Rink.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy in World War
II and a member of the Eylau Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pauline Williams Halbert of Texarkana; two
daughters Mrs. Clara Shumaker of Bossier City. La., and Mrs. Dorothy Dickey
of Texarkana; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
