Funeral services for John M. Halbert, 72 of 216 Hickory St. who died
Saturday, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the East Funeral Home Chapel
with the Rev. Henry Alloway and Otis Sutton officiating.  Burial will be
Woodlawn cemetery. Active pallbearers will be A.A.  Staley, Jack Body, Carl
Davis Floyd Baxter, Frank Mathis, Hamp Ward. Harold Barto and Grover
Milford.  Honorary pallbearers will be other friends of the family.

Mr. Halbert is survived by one son Jack Halbert of Texarkana; two sisters,
Mrs. R.E. Robertson of St. Louis, Mo. and Mrs. D. P. Rogers of Shreveport
La; three grandchildren, Dorothy, Johnnie Ray, and Clara; and several
nieces and nephews.
