Funeral services for Mrs. John M. Halbert, 69, of 222 Hickory Street, will
be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the East Funeral Home chapel with Dr. Fred
R. Harrison officiating.  Burial will be in the Woodlawn cemetery.  Active
pallbearers will be A.A. Staley, Frank Mathis, Chester Westbrook, Ottis
Goodson, Hamp Wood, Homer Robison, Clarence Lumpkin, and Carl Davis.
Honorary pallbearers will be other friends of the family.

Surviving are her husband; one son, Jack Halbert, and her daughter in law,
of Texarkana; a number of nieces and nephews, including Mrs. R.A. Piland of
San Antonio; and aunt Mrs. Rose Edwards of Arkadelphia.
