Mr. Harris was a life-long resident of Miller County and a retired farmer. Survivors are his wife: four daughters, Mrs. Earl Higginbotham, Mrs. Loyd Chapman, Mrs. Audie Brock, all of Texarkana and Mrs. Robert Cowan of Ft. Worth: three sons, J. D. Harris , Oscar Harris, and James Harris, all of Texarkana: twelve grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews: one brother, Joe Harris: and one sister, Mrs. Bertie Williams. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Saturday at the East Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. H. G. Grigson, Jr. officiating and the Rev. Mr. Lemond assisting. Burial will be in the Harmony Grove Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his nephews, J. W. Williams, Edward Williams, Walter Harris, Tilman Davis, Clarence Davis, T.L.
