Texarkana, April 14 - Funeral services for John T. Logan, president of the
National Lumber and Creosoting Company, who died in St. Louis Friday
afternoon were held here this afternoon conducted by Dr. F. E. Maddox of
the First Congregational Church. The crowd was one of the largest ever held
here, the attendance being estimated at between 1,500 and 2,000 including
visitors from St. Louis, Shreveport, Dallas, Philadelphia, Chicago, Fort
Worth, El Paso, Houston, Pittsburgh, Pa., Marshall and other points. There
was a profusion of floral offerings including a large number wired here
from other cities. Mr. Logan had been a leader here for 25 years.
