June 14, 1923 Texarkana - June 13 - J.E. Murphy, superintendent of the
Kansas City Southern railroad for the past two years with headquarters at
Texarkana, died yesterday in a hospital at Kansas City. He was about 50,
and is survived by his wife and one son, both of whom were with him. The
body was sent to Pittsburg, Kan., for burial. Several officials of the road
left last night for Pittsburg to attend the funeral.
