Quincy C. Nelson, 58 of Texarkana, Ark., died Sunday, Jan 23, 2000, in a
local hospital.  Mr. Nelson was born June 25, 1941, in El Dorado, Ark.

He was retired from Red River Army Depot and a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby McBay Nelson of Texarkana; two daughters,
Paula Williams of Texarkana and Donna Phillips of Royce City, Texas; two
sons, Quincy Lee Nelson of Little Rock and Carl Nelson of Texarkana; his
parents Lee and Vernice Nelson of Texarkana; four sisters, Carol Nielson of
Ashdown, Ark., Kay Radke of Pittsburgh, Texas, Violet Coley of Buchanan,
Tenn. and Iris Fetner of Texarkana; seven grandchildren; and a number of
nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Texarkana Funeral Home Fuqua Everett
Memorial Chapel with the Rev. David Landers officiating.  Burial will be in
East Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the
funeral home.  The family will be at 4422 Jefferson Ave.  Memorials may be
made to charity.
