All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm *********************************************************** OBIT: Kay Polk Vann, 70, of Lewisville, Ark., died at 6:15 a.m. Saturday at the home of his son, Roy Vann of Lewisville after a long illness. Born April 11, 1893, in Hempstead County, Ark., he was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He had lived in Texarkana most of his life and was a retired employee of the I. C. and C. Co. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Gertie Vann of Texarkana; five sons, Roy Vann of Lewisville, Marland Vann of Vancouver, Wash., Billy Vann of Siloam Springs, Ark., Tony Vann of Dallas, and Franklin Vann of Texarkana; two daughters, Mrs. Ed Sullivan and Mrs. William Chandler both of Texarkana; 23 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending at Texarkana Funeral Home. Funeral services for Kay Polk Van, 70, who died Saturday at the home of a son in Lewisville, Ark., will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev, Arthur Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Chapelwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Gorden Vann, Charlie Smith, Henry Smith, Johnnie smith, Billie Jewel, and Connie Frost. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the family.
